Church committees are where the action is! Serving on a church committee is definitely a spiritual growth opportunity, so get involved today!
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers …
Listed below is each committee and its purpose. If you are interested in serving in any of these areas, simply contact the committee leader. These leaders are listed in the bulletin each week and are also in the church directory.
ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE: To provide and/or receive, review and approve nominations for leadership positions the various committees and ministries. To complete administrative tasks that are not the responsibility of other committees or ministries.
ADOPTION COMMITTEE: To recommend to session those CRPC members who are pursuing adoption and need financial help.
BUILDING COMMITTEE: To provide a safe and clean environment for worship, education and for fellowship. To accomplish this goal, the building must be clean, in a state of good repair, visually appealing, and properly maintained.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE: To plan, develop and implement educational instruction that strengthens Biblical understanding and imparts a practical working knowledge of the Christian faith.
FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE: To encourage Christian fellowship for members of the congregation, regular visitors, and others outside of the church. To provide times for fellowship in a Christian atmosphere.
GROUNDS COMMITTEE: To provide a safe and clean environment. To accomplish this goal, the grounds must be clean, in a state of good repair, visually appealing, and properly maintained.
MISSIONS COMMITTEE: To meet the church’s corporate obligation to fulfill the Great Commission. The committee leads the congregation in developing a heart for missions through mission reports, trips, special speakers, prayer services, etc.
RETREAT COMMITTEE: To provide the opportunity and environment for fellowship and teaching among members and non-members at the annual Labor Day Retreat.
VISITATION COMMITTEE: To communicate the word of Christ and the structure, purpose, and ministry of Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church.
WORSHIP COMMITTEE: To coordinate matters relating to corporate congregational worship.
