1 Kings
by Pastor Byron Snapp
December 2008 - February 2009
This book opens with David's death. As we move through the chapters
we see that Israel, itself, is also dying in regard to its hunger and thirst
for God. There are many applications for us today in regard to the ravages of
sin, the reality of God’s promises and the responsibilities we have as
Christians. Resources include Matthew Henry’s commentary, 1 & 2 Kings by Peter Leithart, and
Elijah by A. W. Pink.

of man. This quarter focused on the first eight chapters of the Westminster Confession of Faith and was taught by Dan Gill in the lunch room.

A Biblical View of Conflict and Its Resolution
Taught by Michael Holloway
December 2005 - February 2006
Conflict is inevitable, arising in every area of life: home, work, church,
friendships, and even recreation.
Unwise advice about how to respond to conflict abounds, and unless we know well
what God's Word says about the subject, we can easily make unwise and sinful choices when we encounter conflict. Learning what the Bible says was the goal
of this class.
Class materials, including audio of some of the lessons,

Business for the Glory of God
Taught by Pete Hurst
December 2005 - February 2006
Business should not be synonymous with greed and corruption, but a way to
imitate God. A Christian worldview of business should go far beyond the usual
givens of Christian ethics and Christian evangelism.
Business is morally good and so are profits, inequality of possessions,
competition, ownership, borrowing, lending, and other things.
Every individual or couple who attends this class must have
Business for the Glory of God
by Wayne Gruden, and read the assigned short chapters each week.

Desiring God
Led by Bill Griffin
September 2005 - November 2005
Of all the commands in Scripture, perhaps the most perplexing one is the
often-repeated calling to "rejoice in the Lord."
How does this exhortation relate to our concurrent calling to Christian duty,
whether we feel like it or not?
Why does the joy of our salvation sometimes seem to be missing,
and what can we do about it?
Dr. Piper draws from predecessors Jonathan Edwards, C.S. Lewis, and others in producing a modern classic, which can our encourage our hearts to
greater faithfulness and greater joy in our Saviour.
